bradyCourtesy of ESPN.com, Tom Martinez, emeritus professor of physical education and athletics, has a new nickname: Quarterback Whisperer. The article, “Tom Brady Still Listens to QB Whisperer,” highlights the professional relationship between Brady and Martinez.  Martinez has been Brady’s personal throwing coach since 1992 when Brady was a high school sophomore. The article discusses Martinez’s trek to Foxborough, Massachusetts, last season to help Brady work on his mechanics after several weeks of sub-par performance. In the game immediately following Martinez’s visit, Brady completed 23 of 26 passes for 267 yards and four touchdowns to lead the New England Patriots to a runaway victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Martinez continues to conduct football youth camps and work with NFL quarterbacks who request his expertise. The article can be viewed by going to espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/14930/tom-brady-still-listens-to-qb-whisperer
