College of San Mateo right-hander Devin Bradley has accepted a scholarship offer from Coastal Carolina.

“He took a trip there and loved it,” CSM coach Doug Williams said. “He and his dad were very impressed.”

Coastal Carolina is located in Conway, S.C., eight miles west of Myrtle Beach. The Chanticleers went 42-20 last season and took part in the NCAA Tournament.

Bradley, an All-County selection during his prep days at Carlmont, was a two-time, first-team, all-conference pick at CSM.

“I told them I’ve watched him since his junior year at Carlmont and he’s always been a winner,” Williams said. “He has that extra something special where he always ends up on the winning side.”

Bradley became the second CSM pitcher to sign with a high-profile four-year school. Josh Fredendall, CSM’s ace reliever last season from Hillsdale High, earlier signed with Washington.

Shortstop Riley Goulding has signed with Texas Pan American.
