Do you like reggae music? Are you a fan of children’s programs? Then you might be interested in a special concert planned at the College of San Mateo on May 12.

The Mary Meta Lazarus Child Development Center hosts a spring benefit concert featuring the Bay Area band “Native Elements” and the San Francisco Panhandlers Steel Drum Band. It begins at noon on CSM’s Main Quad next to the Health and Wellness Building 5.

The concert is a celebration of children and families and all proceeds go directly to benefit the Child Development Center. Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for students and free for children under 13.

The event will include children’s activities and prizes. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket and picnic lunch or they may purchase lunch from the on-site Taquero. For tickets in advance, call (650) 574-6279 or simply purchase them at the concert.
