College of San Mateo won five events on Day 2 of the Coast Conference swimming championships at De Anza College in Cupertino:
- Women’s 200 medley relay (Rachel Rosas, Kellsey Mercado, Miya Oto, Kelly Dwyer), 1:54.09
- Miya Oto, 200 free (1:54.75)
- Kellsey Mercado, 50 breast (32.18)
- Alvaro Andaluz, 100 breast (58.49)
- Derek Koo, 100 back (54.72)
Oto, who won her final by 5 seconds, is 5-for-5 in her two years of conference finals.
The Bulldogs took third in three others:
- Men’s 800 free relay (Sean Doker,Trevor Jacobs, Derek Koo, Alvaro Andaluz), 7:21.05
- Men’s 200 medley relay (Jason Wong, Alvaro Andaluz, Sean Doker, Derek Koo), 1:39.62
- Jason Wong, 100 back (56.91)
The meet wraps up today with trials at 10 a.m. and finals at 3 p.m.
