Steve Pastora went 3 for 3 with three doubles — including two in the same inning — to pace the College of San Mateo baseball team 11-7 over Feather River Saturday at Bulldog Field.

The Bulldogs (7-5) sent 12 batters to the plate amid an eight-run second inning. Pastora led off the frame with his first two-bagger of the afternoon then scored on Deven Mahoney’s two-run home run. Later in the frame, with CSM leading 6-0, Pastora capped the rally with a two-run double to drive home Dylan Isquirdo and Ryan Krainz.

In the fourth, CSM added two more runs. Pastora’s RBI double to right-center scored Krainz. Pastora later scored on a sacrifice fly by Draco Roberts.

Krainz and Mahoney each tabbed two hits for the Bulldogs. Feather River (6-5) was paced by a 3-for-3 day by right fielder Eli Putnam.

Roberts currently paces the Bulldogs with a .458 (11 for 24) batting average.

CSM has now won four of its last five to close the nonconference preseason. The Bulldogs open Coast Golden Gate Conference play Tuesday at De Anza.
