Year in and year out, the Bulldogs’ discus, hammer and javelin throwers, in addition to their shot putters, are among the best not only in the Coast Conference, but all of Northern California — and even the state.

The Lady Bulldogs (15-1 overall) opened the day against West Hills Coalinga (3-8) with an 11-0 win, banging out 15 hits in support of starting pitcher Morgan Jones’ three-hit shutout.

Come-from-behind wins are fast becoming synonymous with CSM Baseball this season. The Bulldogs (8-1 overall) claimed their fifth comeback victory of the season Tuesday with a 9-5 win over College of Marin (5-5) at Bulldogs Stadium. Trailing 5-2 in the sixth, CSM came roaring back with a four-spot to take the lead.

Fans packed around the sidelines and end lines for a rare up-close perspective of some headline names. Along with the 26 players representing the WWAFT, the NFL Alumni team included an array of former pro greats, including ex-49ers Dan Bunz, Dana Stubblefield and CSM alumnus Bill Ring.

Greenough delivered three no-hit innings to set the stage for the Bulldogs’ 13-1 win over Cañada Saturday at Bulldog Field. As a whole, the Bulldogs pitching staff took a no-hitter into the fifth inning and allowed just three hits in the game.
