The campus was alive with the sounds of the 21st Annual College of San Mateo Jazz Festival on Friday, November 17. Over 400 high school jazz musicians from Contra Costa, San Mateo, San Francisco, and Santa Clara counties were on display. The students had the opportunity to perform, share musical experiences, and learn from nationally recognized jazz artists and educators. With performances by nineteen local high school bands and the CSM jazz ensemble, a variety of workshops for students, and a guest performance by the John Santos Quintet, it was a full day of music and education for all.
