On October 29, 2022, the San Mateo County History Museum will open the exhibit College of San Mateo: 100 Years of Making Dreams Come Through.

It seems like every week College of San Mateo head football coach Tim Tulloch evokes the name of defensive coordinator Hansen Sekona.

Northern California’s top community college football team, College of San Mateo (5-0), has its sights on new winning streaks as Bay 6 Conference play gets underway Saturday with No. 8 Laney-Oakland (4-1) visiting the No. 2 Bulldogs at 1 pm.

Under SB 893, crafted by state Sen. Josh Becker, D-San Mateo, with support from Assembly Speaker pro Tem Kevin Mullin, D-South San Francisco, and State Assembly Marc Berman, D-Palo Alto, the state would allow the San Mateo County Community College District to waive a mandatory $46-per-unit enrollment fees for nearly 6,000 San Mateo County residents, allowing those interested in enrolling in classes at one of the community college district’s three campuses to attend for free.

CSM (5-0) wrapped up its challenging non-conference schedule Saturday at College Heights Stadium with a 28-21 victory over Butte College. The ’Dogs have a bye this week before Bay 6 Conference play opens Saturday, Oct. 15, at home against Laney College at 1 p.m.

With three volleyball matches in four days, College of San Mateo was facing one of its busiest stretches of the year. And just for style points, the Lady Bulldogs finished off the stretch Saturday with a five-set epic.
