College of San Mateo (13-7 Coast North, 25-14 overall) settled for third place in the Coast Conference North baseball standings, but finished the regular season with a statement comeback win over Cañada (8-11, 16-22) on the Hilltop.

Trailing 5-0 in the third, the Bulldogs scored in five straight innings, including a six-run outburst in the fifth to take the lead. Serra graduate Lucas Schumacher had the big swing, stepping to the plate with the bases loaded to supply a two-run double to put CSM ahead 6-5. Jeremy Wrona later drew a bases-loaded walk, and Carter Bleeker singled home two runs to cap the rally.
Sophomore right-hander Luke Ulrich fired three shutout innings in relief of starter Michael Volkman to earn the win, improving his record to 2-1.
Skyline (14-6, 30-10) clinched second place in the Coast North on Wednesday with a 14-2 win over City College of San Francisco, becoming one of just three Northern California teams to reach 30 overall wins. The Trojans dropped Thursday’s regular-season finale 10-9 to conference champion Chabot College (17-3, 22-17-1). Skyline finishes the regular season hitting .351 as a team, ranking third among California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A) teams.
The 3C2A regional playoffs open May 1.
