CSM Career Services and other offices are hosting a variety of career-related events from October to December.  All are designed to help our students and community promote career awareness and exploration and find their WHY.

CSM Undocu-Week closes with a keynote and poetry reading by the Afro-Indigenous poet, activist, scholar and artist Alan Pelaez Lopez.

It’s time to RSVP for CSM’s next Flex Day, October 9. View the detailed Flex Day Schedule to check out the inspiring learning opportunities scheduled, including an opening keynote address from Dr. Gina Garcia, a leading scholar on Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs).

The past few weeks have been busy in the CRM world as we get closer to our Phase I launch and continue to develop future phases of the project. Here is an update on the work being done to launch the CRM for Marketing & Recruitment, Counseling, Enrollment, and overall integration with our IT systems.

Save the date for a special recognition event for faculty and managers who have been at CSM for 10, 20, and 30 years. Thursday, Oct. 31, 2:00 – 3:30 pm, College Heights Conference Room. Details to come.

ESL faculty members Evan Kaiser and Todd Windisch will be conducting weekly equity office hours for colleagues from Oct 1 through November 26.

Kristi Ridgway has been named dean of language arts for College of San Mateo. A faculty member in English and ESL, Kristi has served as interim dean of language arts since August 2017.

Due to the continued unhealthy air quality and projections that conditions will not significantly improve in the near future, all classes at CSM, Cañada College and Skyline College that are scheduled to begin after 4 pm today are canceled.  Additionally, all classes are canceled on Tuesday, November 20, and Wednesday, November 21, along with the pre-scheduled holiday break on Thursday and Friday.

College of San Mateo, Cañada College and Skyline College continue to be closed through November 18. The campuses are expected to reopen on Monday, November 19. San Mateo Athletic Club is open. Some events and programs not operated by the College are still taking place.
