Vehicle burglary is a crime of opportunity.  Most thefts occur when valuables are left unattended, and out in the open to anyone that is walking by your vehicle.  The Department of Public Safety offers these tips to help prevent crimes.

Recent CSM graduate Andreas Langenbacher was notified that his paper was accepted and published online by “Think You?!,” the journal of the Bay Area Honors Research Symposium.

New law requires county probation departments and DJJ to provide access to online college courses to incarcerated youth and encourages new on- and off-campus partnerships for youth.

Using a data-centered approach to diagnosing the health of programs, the Social Justice Research Academy offers a new training series to help members of the faculty and staff to develop equity-centered research questions, to create qualitative studies in order to collect meaningful data from their programs’ students, and to implement student-centered solutions to close programmatic opportunity gaps.

EOPS turned 50 this year, and CSM celebrated with an evening of moving speakers, food, music and fun.

On October 16, members of the California Community Colleges Board of Governors visited College of San Mateo. Board President Tom Epstein, Board Member Kevin Holl, and Student Representative Colm Fitzgerald spent the day meeting with College leadership groups.
