William Jessup University recently announced the signing of Gina Bologna and Jacqueline Ferrari for the inaugural season of the William Jessup Softball program.

Bologna, originally from Burlingame High School started in left field for the College of San Mateo. Batting .306, she earned 2nd Team All Conference and was a strong offensive leader for CSM.

“I am excited to be a part of building tradition and establishing a new softball program at Jessup. I am really looking forward to being a part of a small community to finish my degree and play softball.”

“Gina is a quick player. She is a real threat at the plate and brings a lot of range to the outfield. What I am most excited about is that though she was very successful at CSM, she is a hard worker and has the capability of becoming even better,” says Coach Pistole.

Ferrari, from El Camino High School was the centerfielder for the College of San Mateo for the last two years. Batting .306, Ferrari was selected First Team All Conference because of her consistent performance as a standout outfielder.

“I like that this softball team is a first year program. I am looking forward to starting traditions and playing for Coach Pistole,” says Ferrari.

“Jackie has great range and covers a lot of ground in the outfield. She will bring consistency and leadership in this first year starting out. Being a successful leader at CSM, she knows what it takes to play at the next level,” stated Coach Pistole.
