2017 College of San Mateo DL Thomas Toki (6-1, 276) has been hard at work this summer, getting ready for his his first season of college football and he updated on how things have been progressing as well as where things stand on the recruiting front…

“Washington State contacted me recently and I’ve been in contact with Arizona State, Oklahoma State and Utah but I really want to ball out this year for them to pull the trigger on me,” Toki told
He’s still waiting on his first offer and that has spurred him on this off-season as he works to get in the best shape possible.

“I started to year out at 316 pounds, but now I’m down to 276 and working to build back up with the lean muscle mass to 295 pounds,” Toki noted. “I’ve been working really hard on all aspects of my game and putting myself in a spot where I can play early and really show these schools that are after me what I can do and how I can help them.”

Toki signed with Washington State out of high school, but was unable to get qualified, so he took year off from football to get things sorted out.

He used his time wisely though as he got ahead on his academics, setting himself up to be finished with his two-year degree in May while still having four years to play three following the 2016 football season.
