CSM’s Greenough fires three-hit gem. Cameron Greenough made his first collegiate complete game a good one, firing a three-hit shutout Tuesday in a 5-0 win over City College of San Francisco at Bulldog Stadium.

College of San Mateo’s relief arms Drew Reveno and Mark Quinby teamed for another prolific outing, leading the Bulldogs (9-7 in Coast Golden Gate, 20-12 overall) to a 3-2 win to earn a split in a two-game series with De Anza (9-7, 20-12).

Cameron Greenough fired seven shutout innings leading College of San Mateo (8-5 in Coast Golden Gate, 19-10 overall) to a 3-0 win over West Valley (3-9, 10-18) Tuesday at Bulldog Stadium.

The Bulldogs rolled to a 9-5 victory, putting up four-spots in the fifth and sixth to take a 9-0 lead into the late innings. CCSF (0-9, 2-21-1) got on the board with a run in the eighth and scored four more in the ninth to make the game look a lot closer than it was.

Smoot bounced back through the final two games of the series, going 3 for 7 with three RBIs as USF prevailed 5-2 on Saturday and 6-3 in Sunday’s rubber match. A junior transfer out of the College of San Mateo, Smoot took a redshirt at USF last season and got a late start this year, playing in nine of the Dons’ 22 games.

The Bulldogs (11-5 overall) trailed twice in the game, but continued to claw their way back. In the bottom of the 10th though, an errant pickoff throw proved costly as the Seahawks (10-8) scored the walk-off win.
