Sarah Funes, a 19-year-old freshman at the College of San Mateo, is passionate about disability rights. She’s studying political science and added international relations after a trip to Syria this summer.

Shannon McCaffrey, CSM floristry student, was the recipient of a second place award at the prestigious American Institute of Floral Designers’ (AIFD) 2010 Student Floral Design Competition.
