CSM students graduate community college despite budget-related obstacles (video)

Assemblyman Jerry Hill will deliver the commencement address at College of San Mateo’s 89th graduation ceremony on Friday, May 27 at 6:30 pm in the college’s gymnasium.

CSM alum and Assemblyman Jerry Hill will serve as speaker for the college’s 89th commencement ceremony on Friday, May 27. Representing the 19th Assembly District, which includes San Mateo, Assemblyman Hill is currently serving his second term.

California’s top educator, State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson, is a CSM alum and graduate of Westmoor High School. He attended the college in 1968-69 and transferred to UC Berkeley where he earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees and a teaching credential.

Daniel Nava of the Boston Red Sox remembers where he has been. Nava, CSM 2004/2005 alumnus showed up at College of San Mateo yesterday and presented each CSM baseball position player with two pairs of Cutters batting gloves.
