Spring semester is always a busy time of year. If you are planning an event anytime between January and May 2018, please send information (even if not finalized) to the Community Relations & Marketing office

Over 400 high school jazz musicians from Contra Costa, San Mateo, San Francisco, and Santa Clara counties were on display. The students had the opportunity to perform, share musical experiences, and learn from nationally recognized jazz artists and educators.

The first full eclipse since 1979 created a huge buzz among sky-gazers across the country, and more than 2,000 people gathered at College of San Mateo to view the eclipse on August 21st.

Courtesy of CSM’s Astronomy Department and the San Mateo County Astronomical Society (SMCAS), solar telescopes will be set up at two on-campus locations for public viewing of the transit from 7-11:45 am.

The College of San Mateo Jazz Ensembles, directed by Mike Galisatus, will present a concert with guest artist drummer, Carl Allen on Wednesday, March 23 at 7:30 PM in the College of San Mateo Theatre.

Fans packed around the sidelines and end lines for a rare up-close perspective of some headline names. Along with the 26 players representing the WWAFT, the NFL Alumni team included an array of former pro greats, including ex-49ers Dan Bunz, Dana Stubblefield and CSM alumnus Bill Ring.

The Super Bowl is coming to CSM. No, not THE Super Bowl. No, this is another football game held during the Super Bowl Week festivities, when the Wounded Warriors Amputee Football Team play a team of NFL alumni.

The events will feature workshops on how to navigate California’s health insurance exchange website. There will also be one-on-one informational appointments with insurance exchange experts and free preventative health screenings.

As part of National Astronomy Day, the festival welcomes the community to learn more about astronomy, science and the wonders of the universe.

All three students participated in an internship program for a year at the museum, for which they received CSM independent study course credit.
